Writing Workshop and Competition!!!

ESU Chile offers two workshops on the writing of essays, the first on 27thMay from 17.30 to 19.30 at the Mackay School, Reñaca, and the second on 29thMay from 17.30 to 19.30 at the Las Condes branch of the 'Instituto ChilenoBritánico de Cultura' in Avenida Vespucio 631 (not far from the EscuelaMilitar metro station). Both workshops will be conducted by Nuray Jemil,Head of English at the Grange School, and will be aimed both at teachers ofEnglish and at students, both from secondary schools and from universities.It will be specially useful for all those who intend to take part in theNational English Writing Competition.Those who wish to participate in one or other of the workshops should register by sending your name by e-mail to rcollingwoods@gmail.com, at the latest by 20th May. Please specify which workshop you will attend. There is no charge.

Preparation for the exam: Write an infornal reply to this letter

Thanks for inviting me to stay with you when I visit your country next month.
I'm not sure how to get to your apartment from the airport. Could you write back giving me some basic instructions? What would be the best method of transport for me? I'd prefer one that isn't too expensive!
Just one other thing - what will the weather be like when I get there? (Just so I'll know what clothes to pack!)

mid-terms
